Featured Performer: Molly Alexander

Molly Alexander is a STEM-major sort of person who has been successfully infiltrating the musical and theatrical world for years. One day, the people in charge will realize that she has degrees in Wildlife and Veterinary Technology and never actually studied the arts, but they haven’t wised up yet so she keeps getting away with it. She has sung a capella with The Ecotones, presented the Bard’s works with Savannah Shakes, gotten weird with Odd Lot Improv, and voice acted for various audio dramas. She also moonlights in stage management because there is nothing quite like a color-coded spreadsheet. Now she is delighted to be on stage with the Savannah Cabaret!

Featured Performer: Cecilia Tran Arango

A Savannah native and Marketing Manager for Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., Cecilia Tran Arango has performed in hit musicals for the Bay Street Theatre including Hair (Sheila), Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovette), Chicago (Velma), Rent (Mimi), Avenue Q (Christmas Eve), Rocky Horror Live (Magenta/Usherette and Columbia), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Yitzhak), and Reefer Madness (Sally).  She serves on the board for the Savannah Repertory Theatre and is a member of The Collective Face Theatre Ensemble, playing the role of Mary Magdalene in Collective Face’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. In addition to her theatre activities, Arango is an avid runner with a goal of running a marathon in each state, with 21 states under her belt. She founded the running book club, Read, Run & Rant featured in Shape Magazine. Arango serves on the board for Park Place Outreach and the Savannah Sports Council and is the president of the Metropolitan Savannah Rotary Club. Cecilia is happily married to her husband of 22 years, Michael, and they have a son, Alex graduating from the University of Georgia in the fall, and daughter Camille, a rising junior at Savannah Arts Academy.

Featured Performer: Damon Banks Jr.

Damon Banks Jr. is an elementary music educator in Savannah, GA. He is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Music Education with a concentration in classical voice. He regularly performs with the Savannah Philharmonic chorus and is a staff
singer at Skidaway United Methodist church. Damon enjoys performing classical literature; some of his favorite works were: “Un Certo Non So Che” (Vivaldi), “Your Daddy’s Son” (Ragtime), and Lonely House (Street Scene).  Damon is excited for the opportunity to perform with the Savannah Cabaret, and is looking forward to many great opportunities to come.

Featured Performer: Travis Cheek

Being a local to Savannah, Travis Cheek began his musical theater career at a young age, enrolling in Savannah Arts Academy and majoring in Vocal Performance. There, he starred in hit shows such as The Laramie ProjectBring it On!, and Chicago. During this time, Travis performed across the country in cities like Atlanta, Orlando and New York City. Now, years later, as a full time employee of ClubOne Jefferson, Travis has made a return to world of Musical Theatre at the Savannah Cabaret and is excited to see what future holds.

Featured Performer: Travis Harold Coles

Travis Coles is thrilled to be making his Savannah Cabaret on-stage debut! Travis has been involved in theatre in Savannah for over 13 years. As Executive Producer of the Bay Street Theatre, Travis has been involved with some of Savannah’s most exciting community theatre productions, such as Cabaret, Chicago, Avenue Q, Sweeney Todd, Rocky Horror, and many more. Travis is also a member of the Collective Face Theatre Ensemble, performing in Gatsby, Calendar Girls, Big Love, and Jesus Christ Superstar, among others. When not managing Club One or serving on the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Planning Commission, Travis enjoys helping people buy or sell property as an agent with Keller Williams Realty. In his free time Coles enjoys sleeping. Enjoy the show!

Featured Performer: Bailey Connor

A Savannah native, Bailey began performing at a young age in and around the Savannah area. Once she graduated from high school, her passion for performing drove her to enroll as a student at Sarah Lawrence College in New York where she is currently studying theatre.  This Fall, she will be furthering her theatre education at the British American Drama Academy in London. Recent credits include Grease as Jan (Savannah Theatre) and Are There Penguins in Space?, a new play in which she originated the role of Anne, a young mother struggling to overcome drug addiction. Her favorite credits include Cinderella as Ella and Newsies as Medda Larkin. Bailey is ecstatic to perform with the incredibly talented artists of the Savannah Cabaret!

Featured Performer: Richie Cook

Richie Cook has been a performer, director, and teacher in the Savannah Area for sixteen years. He is a theatre instructor at Savannah Arts Academy working with Chatham County’s most talented young theatre artists. He is a member of the Savannah Philharmonic Choir and volunteers with the Savannah Pride Youth Program. He holds an MFA in Media and Performing Arts from SCAD and has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. Richie works with many theatre organizations in the area including the Savannah Children’s Theatre and the Historic Savannah Theatre and he is very proud to be a part of this cabaret with Bay Street. Richie would like to wish everyone a joyful holiday and a happy new year and he hopes this cabaret puts everyone in the holiday spirit!

Featured Performer: Hannah Dodson

Hannah Dodson is a local vocalist and actress that’s currently finishing up her BA of Theatre at Georgia Southern University. As a long time member of the Savannah Cabaret, Hannah is so thankful to continue to perform on the Club One stage! Some of her most recent credits include Grease (The Savannah Theatre), Elf: The Musical (The Savannah Theatre), The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 (GSU), Love Songs/Love Stories 2, and multiple Savannah Cabaret productions!

Featured Performer: Ethan Goble

Ethan is so excited to be performing with the Savannah Cabaret. He is currently working towards earning his BA in theatre from Georgia Southern University. Some of his recent acting credits include Eurydice (GSU), The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 (GSU), Time Flies (GSU), and The Rocky Horror Show (Bay Street Theatre). In addition to acting, he has also contributed his technical skills to Master Class (Collective Face) and Spitfire Grill (Savannah Repertory Theatre) among others. When he’s not working on shows, Ethan enjoys traveling, writing music, and riding roller coasters.

Featured Performer: Cami Nicole Hall

Cami Nicole Hall (she/her) was raised in rural Indiana and has been performing since she was born (just ask her mom). She grew up singing around the world with the prestigious Logansport Children’s Choir. Her first role in a musical was as a flying monkey in The Wizard of Oz, but some of her favorite roles to portray include The Cat in the Hat in Seussical and Marty in Grease. This Hoosier has been in the peach state for more than a decade: paralegal at Morgan & Morgan by day, sound engineer at the Bay Street Theatre by night. When Cami isn’t on stage, you can find her watching wild birds with her wife and taking too many pictures of her dogs.

Featured Performer: Andrew Hillis

Andrew is a born and raised Savannahian. Andrew returned to the “Hostess City” in 2009 where he continued to perform and sing across the Coastal Empire and east coast in local churches and on stage. Andrew has received many awards as a soloist, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Roger in Grease through BroadwayWorld.com, has been a featured soloist with Savannah’s Premier Chamber Ensemble, I Cantori and featured with the University of Dubuque’s Chamber Winds Ensemble. His performance repertoire includes Faure’s Requiem, Handle’s Messiah, Moore’s The Ballad of Baby Doe, and Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief, and Amahl. Some of their favorite castings include Enoch Snow in Carousel, Arvide Abernathy in Guys and Dolls, Paul in Company, Courfetrac in Les Miserables, Max in The Sound of Music, Dan in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and has reprised the role as Oliver Hicks in The Music Man with four separate companies. Andrew has always enjoyed performing and is thrilled to be returning to work with such a great company as the Savannah Cabaret.

Featured Performer: Daniel J. Hilton

A Savannah native who’s always loved entertaining, Daniel J. stepped into the theater world 10 years ago at Armstrong State University. Before graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in theater, he worked stage managing shows like Conversations with a Sphinx, Macbeth, and The Drowsy Chaperone; behind the scenes wasn’t enough, so he rolled into the spotlight with roles in Spring Awakening, The Birds, and Godspell. Before leaving for Orlando, Daniel J. also landed the lead role of Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show with the Bay Street Theater. Now he’s home and excited to be a part of our cast!

Featured Performer: Kevin Hincapie

Kevin Hincapie is so excited to be joining the Savannah Cabaret cast! He was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he fell in love with the stage. He studied Music Theatre at New World School of the Arts and just recently moved to Savannah. His most recent roles have been J.D in Heathers, and Pippin in PIPPIN! He also wrote and starred in a One person show titled The 27 Club. He is thrilled to be in a new city and explore the theater community here in Savannah.

Featured Performer: Brandon Kaufman

A Savannah native, Brandon Kaufman studied music at the Savannah Arts Academy before attend the University of Georgia where he earned a degree in Music Composition. Since graduating Brandon has worked primarily as a musical director for local theatre and performing arts programs, directing the music for over 100 productions across 13 years of professional experience. Alongside music directing, he maintains a voice & piano studio, accompanies local church services, and occasionally works as a staff accompanist for Georgia Southern University.

Featured Performer: Justin P. Kent

Justin has been in Savannah for 20+ years, and lives here with his beautiful wife, Valerie, and wonderful son, Logan! He is the co-founder of Odd Lot Improv, which has been performing in Savannah for over a decade. His most recent and favorite stage role was Don Quixote in Man Of La Mancha at the Asbury Theater. Featured Performer: Carrie Kitchen

Carrie Kitchen is a high school music educator in Savannah, GA. She is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s of Music Education with a concentration in classical voice. She also teaches privately in the Savannah area. Her specialties are voice, beginning piano and acrobatics. She is a staff singer at Skidaway United Methodist church. Carrie enjoys performing in musical theatre. Some of the shows she has been in are: Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and an Armstrong State University Cabaret show.

Featured Performer: Valerie America Lavelle

Valerie has been performing and directing in Savannah for over 15 years. Some of her favorite roles include Mae Coleman in Reefer Madness, Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show Live, and Diwata in Speech and Debate. Most recently she was in The Historic Savannah Theatre’s production of Guys and Dolls as Big Jule. Valerie is the producer of The Assembly of Phatasms and this year she won Connect Savannah’s Best Local Actress Award. When she’s not performing she enjoys spending time with her family and the pursuit of the best jalapeño margarita!

Featured Performer: Gwen Leahy

Gwen Leahy is thrilled to be a part of another show with the Savannah Cabaret! They have been working with The Bay Street Theatre for 7 years, The Club One Cabaret as Stage Manager for 4 years, and The Savannah Cabaret since its inception; basically, if it happens on the Club One mainstage, they are there! Gwen is forever grateful for the medley of talented folks and friends who keep supporting them and giving them an excuse to perform as often as possible!

Featured Performer: Lauren Ledger

Lauren Ledger (she/they) is a recent graduate of SCAD where she received a BFA in Performing Arts on a full-ride scholarship for being in a performance ensemble with American Idol Winner Candice Glover and Showtime at the Apollo Winner George Lovett. You may have seen her sharing local stages with Hamilton’s Isaiah Johnson and Grammy Nominee Stacie Orrico, and her recent credits include Marty in Grease at the Savannah Theatre, Featured Choir Member in Hulus’ The Girl from Plainville, and Zoe (principle) in Lifetime’s Nobody Will Believe You. She would like to thank her friends, family, partner, and fellow artists for being such a light in this world.

Featured Performer: Taylor Mercier

Baltimore-raised, Taylor has sung across the east coast – stretching from Boston to Savannah. While studying opera under great sopranos Dr. Tamara Tucker and Mary Anne Barcellona in Annapolis, Taylor always found a home in Broadway. Some of her favorite roles are Maureen in Rent, Susan in Tick, Tick…BOOM! and Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show. Taylor has been teaching voice and piano for 8+ years and can be seen as a featured soloist in I Cantori, and a member of the Savannah Sacred Quartet, as well as a staff singer at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. She currently attends Georgia Southern University for Music Education, and deeply loves her beautiful company at home with her 30+ house plants, 5 pets, and dynamite wife, Mandee.

Vocal Director: Luisa Nolasco

Luisa Nolasco is an actor, musician, and arts administrator. Originally from Brazil, she has been calling Savannah home for the past 8 years. With a B.F.A. in Performing Arts from SCAD. Some of her recent credits include: Once (Savannah Rep), The Full Monty (Savannah Stage Company), Dracula (Savannah Stage Company), and The Metromaniacs (The Diversified Collective). She strives to create diverse spaces where voices like hers can be heard. Luisa is ecstatic to be joining the Savannah Cabaret team! 

Featured Performer: Trey Norris as Treyla Trash

Trey Norris was honored to be a part of the inaugural show with the Savannah Cabaret. A native to Savannah, Trey is an active member of The Bay Street Theatre, Collective Face Theatre Ensemble, and is the assistant General Manager at Club One Jefferson. His passion for music and stage gave birth to a drag character known to downtown Savannah as “Treyla Trash,” and is often seen at the Club One Cabaret on Thursday or Sunday evenings. You may have seen him as Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Christopher Boone in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, or Guilliano in Big Love. Trey’s passions include classical music, reading, and the art of female impersonation.

Featured Performer: Mark Poticny

Being born and raised in Savannah Ga, Mark Louis Poticny has had his fair share of music exposure, usually from behind the scenes. Having studied music at Armstrong State University as a percussion major, he used his talents to play in several musical productions around Savannah, including Spamalot, The Little Mermaid, Pippin, Rocky Horror and many, many more. Mark is a security guard at Club One and in his free time enjoys playing video games, napping and spending time with friends and family. He is ecstatic to be sharing the stage for the very first time with his Savannah Cabaret family and also, EVER!

Featured Performer: Rayshawn Roberts

Rayshawn Roberts has been teaching and performing in Savannah for the past seven years. After receiving his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Armstrong State University, he simultaneously started his teaching career and performing in community theatres throughout Savannah. His most recent credits include Dad/Mr. Wally in Savannah Children’s Theatre’s original production Backpack of Power, a Wickersham Brother in Seussical, Padre in Man of La Mancha, and ensemble roles as a part of productions with Bay Street Theatre, Collective Face Ensemble, and Savannah Stage Company. Rayshawn has always loved performing and can’t wait to start working with the wonderful artists in the Savannah Cabaret!

Featured Performer: Sallie Just Sallie

Voted “Best Local Drag Queen 2022” by the readers of Connect Savannah, Sallie Just Sallie is pleased to be diving wig-first back into another Rick Garman production. Equipped with a bachelors in Theater, five pairs of pantyhose, and a sensible pair of wedges, she’s ready to make you hoot and holler. Her recent stage credits include Vivian and Bills Christmas Party! and Time Traveling Drag Queens In The 1940s!

Featured Performer: Chris Stanley

A graduate of SCAD (BFA – Media and Performing Arts, 2005), Christopher Stanley has been involved in Savannah’s local theatre community since returning to the city in 2009, working with companies like The Bay Street Theatre and The Collective Face Theatre Ensemble. Notable performances include Roger in Rent (2012), Nicky in Avenue Q (2012), Mendel in Falsettos (2013), and Claude in Hair (2019). Chris has also directed shows like An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein (2011), Hedwig & The Angry Inch (2013), and The Last Five Years (2015, co-director with Jinhi Soucy Rand) and records and performs original music under the name Topher Cronin.

Featured Performer: Joey Timmons

Joseph ‘Joey’ Timmons is a proud graduate of the Armstrong Campus of Georgia Southern, and holds a B.A. in Music Composition. He aids in the choirs of many local churches and community choral endeavors. He is a brother of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity. Joey is a lover,
proponent of, and composer of choral music, and has had his works performed by the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, the Armstrong Chorale, and a number of chamber groups in the Savannah area.

Featured Performer: Dani Vazquez

Dani Vazquez is a Miami native with a B.F.A in Music Theatre from New World School of the Arts (University of Florida). Her most recent credit is Sophie in Mamma Mia at The Savannah Theatre. Some of her favorite credits include: The Spitfire Grill as Percy (Savannah Rep), Heathers as Veronica (Villain Theatre), Pippin as Leading Player (NWSA), and Spring Awakening as Ilse (Areastage). She wrote and starred in her own One Person Show Grinchette and voiced the character Salty for the Nickelodeon short A Balanced Breakfast. She also loves cookies. @thedanivazquez

Featured Performer: JoJo Ward as Carman iCandy

Carman iCandy, also known as JoJo Ward, is a Savannah native. She developed a love for performing at the young age of 2 years old through singing and dancing along to The Wizard of Oz in her bedroom. She could recite every line and lyric on her own, without even watching the screen. She grew and participated in play productions through school and summer camps, developing an even deeper love for musical theatre. From musicals such as Grease to Into the Woods, every new show she discovered made her officially decide that performing was the career of her dreams. She studied advanced courses throughout high school and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Performance at Armstrong State University. Having captured the first ever finale win of the Club One Star Search competition, Carman also works as an educator at the Savannah Children’s Theatre and choreographs other local community theatre productions. Though ecstatic to finally make the transition from Facebook LIVE to In-person shows with the Savannah Cabaret, Carman still plans to relocate to New York City in hopes to pursue her dream of performing on a Broadway stage.

Featured Performer: Val Zielger

This is Val’s first production with the Savannah Cabaret, and she is super excited to be returning to theater for the first time since high school. Usually, you can catch Val as her alter-ego, Ginger Darlin’, a multi-award winning and nationally travelled Burlesque performer. Some of her past theater credits include Hairspray (Tracy), The Sound of Music (Maria), Grease (Rizzo), and Hello, Dolly! (Minnie). She’d like to thank Rick for welcome her into the Savannah Cabaret family with open arms!

Producer: Rick Garman

Rick Garman grew up in Iowa but moved to Los Angeles as soon as he was old enough to be sure that his parents couldn’t send a sheriff to bring him back. He studied theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and made his writing debut with a stage production 17 Days which was produced in Los Angeles and in small theaters around the country.  His second play Mountains won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Los Angeles Theater Production.  Rick has published several novels including three volumes of the Savannah-set Interitas series and has written or produced more than two dozen movies for the Hallmark Channel and other networks including A Shoe Addict’s Christmas starring Candace Cameron Bure, Luke Macfarlane, and Jean Smart; Valentine in the Vineyard starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Brendan Penny; and Christmas at Pemberley Manor starring Jessica Lowndes and Michael Rady. He currently resides in Savannah and is thrilled to be producing the Savannah Cabaret.
